Eyrarbakki’s renowned Rauða Húsið restaurant is celebrating 10 years of serving up delicious seafood, Icelandic meat dishes, and other delectable fare at its current location.
Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Eyrarbakki on 31. December with a bonfire at the beach. Some fireworks provided by the Björgunarsveit Björg Eyrarbakka Rescue Squad and a campfire singalong!
The Eyrarbakki Millennium Festival is a celebration of Eyrarbakki’s history and heritage. The day starts with a parade through the town ending with meat soup. There’s a craft market and raffle, the rooster and hen beauty pageant, and a pig roast in the square.
Midsummer’s Eve Festival (Jónsmessuhátíð) in Eyrarbakki will be held on Saturday 20. June 2015. Activities include artist open studios and other open house events, a bonfire at the beach, and the Midsummer’s Eve Ball dance party.
